Sennheiser Momentum In-Ear - Black (Apple iOS version)

I can't believe these cost $100, really can't....
First, let me tell you that I'm an headphones junky. I by no means consider myself an "audiophile", but I like to spoil my auditory cortex regularly :)

So why these are different? First, their bass is not overwhelming like other brands (Monster/Beats by Dre). Secondly, their lows and highs are much better than Klipsch R6i Black In-Ear Headphone with Patented Oval Tip (Black) , Bose SoundTrue In-Ear Headphones for iOS Models, Black, and even my gym headphones Monster iSport Victory Headphone

all of the above headphones are considered at the same price range, or even more expensive by a bit.

There is also a very important feature here that all other headphones missed in a great degree: mic noise cancellation. I was looking A LOT for...

Amazing sound tuning in a modern "classic" design!
I knew Senns was cooking something new to announce during or after IFA 2014, but I had no idea what to expect. The moment I read about Momentum In-Ear announcement and saw a promo video - I already started speculating in my mind how these going to be tuned. With such a bold design look they were obviously trying to appeal to a younger crowd who values bass and want smartphone controls, but calling it "Momentum" tied it up to a family of audiophile quality full size headphones that appeal to a more mature crowd with priorities of sound quality above the looks. I was in for a big surprise when I received my review sample and came to a conclusion that Senns cooked a perfect formula to make everybody happy and managed to deliver that under $100. Here is what I found.

One thing you can always count on with Senns is to deliver a great unboxing experience. Even prior to opening a compact packaging box it arrived in, I had a pretty good idea what to expect by taking a...

Meets my needs perfectly!
I've had these for about a week and a half. They were purchased primarily for phone calls. The clarity on calls is superb. Sound isolation is as should be expected for an in-ear model. The microphone appears to be excellent according to those on the calls with me. What surprised me was the excellence of music playback from my smartphone. I mostly listen to symphonic and classical vocal works. The sound is full without a lot of coloration. Bass is rich without being overpowering. Midrange is full. The high end is clear. Even though the sound source is limited from my smartphone (Nokia Lumia 1020), there is a naturalness to the sound that seems to compensate for the limitation rather than highlight it as some higher-end in-ear models do. The design is both attractive and sturdy. There are four sizes of earpieces that come with it. Finding a good fit was easy. The case that comes with it is functional. I am pleased with my purchase. The quality of design and sound combine...
