Sennheiser MM 450-X Wireless Bluetooth Headphones - Black

One of the better active noise cancelling headphones
The MM 450-X are probably the 10th set of active noise cancelling headphones I have tried. I currently own a pair of the less expensive Creative noise cancelling headphones and they have done well for me during my long flights and weekends cutting the grass. I have owned and returned 2 different versions of the Bose headphones and I have even owned and returned an earlier version of the Sennheiser MM's (the 350 I believe). The 450-X is the first wireless/bluetooth headset that I've tried.

First, the build is very similar to other Sennheisers. They are foldable for easy transport yet are quite beefy so should stand up with some light abuse. I wouldn't beat on these like I do some of my other headphones but they are pretty solid for the style.

I have used these primarily with my Iphone 4S and have used it for both wired and wireless/bluetooth connections. I listen to music on my Iphone every morning on my way to work on the train (mostly through music loaded...

Superb - a Non-audiophiles Review
I have to confess I am not an audiophile but Sennheiser is starting to change that. A year ago I got Sennheiser PXC 310 BT Compact Noise-Canceling Travel Headphones with Bluetooth Technology (Black) and I have fallen in love with them. When I got a chance to get a review pair for MM 450's I jumped. These are ever bit as good as old ones and I can't wait to use them on a flight soon.

--Use: It is very easy to pair these to blue tooth devices. I mostly use these in conjunction with an iPod Touch. In the evening I usually switch from speakers to headphones so as not to annoy the neighbors and the headphones take over immediately when I turn them on. Also I enjoy being able to skip forward and backward in the playlists by tapping the buttons on the ear piece. I still have issues with missed phone calls, but I get absolutely no distractions when working with them on (short of a fire alarm.)...

I am in love -- See ya QC15's!
First off, my review is from the vantage point of my primary use for these headphones -- and that is playing poker. So far I've worn these headphones for about 60 hours.

I will be the first to admit that the noise cancelling, while very good (IMO), is nowhere near as good as the QC15 headphones by Bose. I'm lucky that I have both sets of headphones, and I find myself using the Bose when flying simply because they are better for that purpose.

Once I land at the casino however, the Bose headphones stay in the room and these come out.

-- Size: They're smaller than the QC15s or the MM550s. Spend a few hours wearing them and you'll grow to appreciate the fact that your ears aren't sweating! Being smaller, it's also easier to leave muff off the ear so you can hear everything going on around you. The carrying bag is much smaller than the QC15s or MM550s (duh) and it has everything I need (headphone wire, USB cable to charge and extra battery). It is small...
