Clean sound and good ear fit, but not for iPhone
First off- if you have an iPhone, then this product is not for you. The controls (except for play/pause) do not work for iPhone, which is very surprising. Otherwise, the way the buds stay in your ear is pretty ingenious. The top green area actually extends up into your ear upon placement. You put the buds in and then lift the top extension to create a little tension against your ear and to keep the buds in place. This, indeed, did get the earbuds in place for me during a 20 minute run (and I sweat). The overall sound is quite good with an emphasis in the upper mids and upper frequencies. There is good presence in the vocals and enough of the high frequencies to give openness to the sounds. The lows are a bit pulled back and EQ'ing the up doesn't really add much. The weakness is really only in the very low part of the bass. I'd guess that if you have any issues hearing lyrics then these earbuds might be very good for you. If you like more of an exaggerated bass then maybe chose a...

Pros
+ Easily pairs up with any device. I was able to pair it with both my computer (mac air) and my iphone. Once pairing is done with all the devices, you can connect to two of them simultaneously. Although, there were certain issues when I was in a microsoft lync meeting. The microphone was connected in mono mode and hence people hear muffled voices from me.
+ Looks sturdy, although it is made of plastic. It fits well for someone with a smaller head as it fits really tight so that it doesn't slip from your head (happens when you are doing a workout or so enthusiastically shaking your head for your favorite song)...
Fans of Sennheiser who trust the quality of German engineering will not be disappointed
Pros: Very comfortable fitment, excellent build quality, great isolation, open/airy sound, fun signature with a well controlled bass slam
Cons: sound is clear but not as detailed (still good for sports headphones), not the most friendly packaging
I realized that a demand for wired headphones is still strong and not everybody is ready to “cut” the chord. If music is a big part of your active lifestyle as you run, jump, climb or bike, you want to be sure headphones stay firmly in your ears with a comfortable fitment. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE wireless headsets, but the added bulkiness and various attachment fins are not for everybody. That is where simplicity of wired 686-series design from Sennheiser comes into play with flexibility of different fitment options across these recently introduced SPORTS headphones.
Arrived in a rather flashy compact package, you are greeted with a full scale view of OCX 686G under a plastic display cover...
