The Unexpected Buy
I have owned many pairs of earphones in the last year, and all end up falling apart, or (such as my last pair) get eaten by a cat. I decided to buy some earphones so this would not happen, but was looking for quality. I have loved Sennheiser in the past as I find that they make a good product, but many earphones looked beyond my price range. I saw this pair up for $75 on the website, and though they looked good, I did not want to spend THAT much on a pair of earphones. Just as I was going to settle for the cheap $30 earphones, I saw that amazon was selling this pair for only $30! For my money, they are beyond what quality I expected, outperforming even Beat in sound quality while keeping a cool look to them. I have been using these earphones night and day for the last few months, and I can confidently say I would recommend these to anyone. Perfect combo of style and function
This is my first headset of this style where the ear "cups" aren't actually cups. I wasn't sure I liked the fit at first because I thought if it didn't enclose my ears I would receive the same quality of sound that I had come to expect from similar headsets. I'm happy to say my preconceptions were incorrect. Sound quality is clear, full and simply amazing. Comfort is also supreme. The headset is light enough to remain comfortable even after extended use. The padding on the ears is wonderful and the headset isn't too tight (as many of this style are) and so I ave no ear soreness even after 4+ hours of use. I love these with my iPad, iPhone and my laptop. Podcasts, audiobooks and movies all sound just as great as the music. These have quickly become one of my favorites given that they have a unique styling. This is my ONLY headset that isn't black! Intimate, Comfy, Clear
Club DJs and recording engineers notwithstanding, earphones with headbands and big vinyl speaker cups were recently considered dead as a dinosaur. I never understood why, since I remember ear cups being far more comfortable than ear buds, with no noticeable diminishment of sound. Perhaps I was romanticizing my boyhood Walkman, but I doubt it, because Sennheiser's new headphones have admirable sound clarity and resonance without forcing anything into my ear canals.
These headphones have the male-end plug that lets them connect to most laptops, tablets, and mp3 players. Their padded headband lets them grip your head firmly while you exercise, dance, or just bob your head along with your favorite music. The speakers have equal quality with both music and spoken word, making them useful for your favorite audiobooks as much as your club mix. And the intimacy of headphones lets me play the music my honey doesn't like, without sneaking around like a smuggler.
