Excellent cheap upscale 4K player

Excellent cheap upscale 4K player. Upscaling BD at 3840 x 2160 at 24hz, looks pretty good. Netflix and some other apps aren't as polished or smooth as ive seen on my PS4 or Sony BD player, but manageable.

Update: A few days after I wrote this review, the player abruptly stopped recognizing Blu-Ray discs -- or anything else -- were even inserted. It's been returned under warranty and was clearly a lemon. Your experiences may be substantially different from the ones I gave below.

Having reconnected our old DVD player with HDMI cables instead of Composite, I can confirm it was the HDMI connection that made the DVDs look better.

Bought this refurbished, and it is a VERY nice Blu-Ray player. It's cheap, it's relatively fast (except on startup) and the buttons on the top are easy to find if, for example, you turn off the lights in the room before you switch off the Blu-Ray player.
This is our first Blu-Ray player and the only one we've spent a significant amount of time around, so all I can say is:

very nice

Very nice bluray player, it upscaling your hd videos from hd to 4k, thats like the difference between hd ready and full hd. but still not real 4k. but at the moment there are no real 4k player for buying =( so you have to wait a few years. this player convert 2d to 3d videos and thats look very nice. if you want to have a better 4k effect you sholud buy this player:

but for me this panasonic is enough, but many people want the best of the best, so there is no end in price :P
