So far so good
I bought this blu-ray player while in the US because of it's ability to play Blu-ray disc from different regions and also because it has universal voltage built in.
So far it has worked as expected, playing region A & B Blu-ray movies in a 240 volt environment.
Picture is crisp, seamless wireless connection to the internet, what else could I have asked for.
Although it lacks 3D capability but then my flat screen TV is not 3D so I don't really need that feature yet.

Finally, I can watch my German dvds!
The Panasonic DMP-BD87 from Global Electronics is does exactly what they promise. Finally, I can watch my German dvds. The setup is simple, take out of the box, connect to TV with HDMI cable, plug in power cord, put batteries into remote, follow instructions on setting region code, insert dvd and enjoy. Next to my HD television, this is the best electronic gift (it was a birthday present) I could have received. Hopefully, someday, the industry will get over itself and eliminate idiotic region encoding. If one orders and pays for a dvd that is not a bootleg, why should anyone care where it is viewed? Imagine if some one told you that a book you bought in America could not be read outside that country? Ludicrous is it not? These companies only hurt their own bottom line by trying to restrict viewing of their products to certain areas of the world. It is also restraint of trade. At a time when we all need to work on coming together more, isolating one nation from another's entertainment...
Faulty Product, But Decent Customer Service
I recently purchased a PANASONIC DMP-BD87 All Region Multi Zone DVD Blu Ray Player. It played Italian DVDs fine, but when I tried playing BluRay movies, it didn't work. The player would freeze up and no longer respond to any commands. The only way I could turn it off was to unplug the power cord. Then I could restart it and eject the disc. I emailed Panasonic's customer service and within a couple of days they determined the BluRay lens was malfunctioning. The instructions on Amazon for returning the unit were clear and easy to follow, and the supplier responded promptly that they will refund my money (although with a deduction because I hadn't saved my original packaging). Although I was very disappointed the product did not work, I thought the customer service and returns process was pretty decent.
