Vizio VBR337 3D Blu-Ray Player with Wireless Internet Application

Great inexpensive 3D player
Purchased a VBR334 but was out of stock so the seller sent us a VBR337 replacement for less money. Very happy with this unit. Crisper, sharper, 3D graphics with its 1080P high definition, built in wireless N, and handy controller with keyboard. The keyboard is on the back side. Vizio could have put a sliding cover over it but once I learned to keep my fingers away from the keyboard, it's not a problem. I also purchased the Vizio M3D550SR 55" Razor LED 3D TV and the Vizio sound bar. What a combination for minimal money. The 3D picture depth makes you feel like your in the action. With a 240Hz refresh rate, there's no problems with blurring or fast motion. We highly recommend Vizio. They have come a long way in providing quality passive 3D at a affordable price and the glasses are the same as in the movie theater.

Vizio firmware update finally available. (July 3,2012) Version
For those that have purchased the VIZIO VBR 337/338 BD Player here's some great news about the firmware updates! I was watching a dvd of the 1960's Tv series "Lost In Space"...after I ejected the disc a message came on the screen. The message prompted me to hit the GREEN button on the FRONT of the remote control for a FIRMWARE UPDATE! The FIRMWARE UPDATE was dated July 3,2012! I pressed the GREEN button on the FRONT of the remote ONCE and it said to choose OK to continue. After doing this the FIRMWARE UPDATE uploaded and when it was FINISHED it RESTARTED on it's own to reboot the system. Make sure you DON'T mess with the player power during the upload process! The UPDATE took about THREE MINUTES with my WI-FI connection. Here's the BEST PART after the FIRMWARE UPDATE is complete...ALL of my BLU-RAY discs that didn't PLAY before are NOW PLAYING including the FOX ones like "PLANET OF THE APES" Blu-ray Boxset and "STAR WARS" COMPLETE Blu-ray Boxset and others!!! A lot of people had this...

Unable to update firmware
Device had a firmware date of Feb 2011, so I attempted to update it. The manual indicated that there was an option to manually update the firmware, but the option was nowhere to be found. I contacted Vizio support. They reset the device on their server and told me it would take 24-48 hours to automatically update. After a week, no update happened. I called Vizio back (third call), they started asking me a bunch of questions that had already been answered, so I have decided to send it back and order other device. I'll not be purchasing any Vizio devices in the future.
