Stuck tray lid upon arrival
I was initially attracted to this unit for the price (at the time about $30 cheaper than non-refurbished). But apparently even "certified" refurb carries quite a bit of risk.
When it arrived, I set everything up and sat down for movie night with my wife. Pulled out the movie, pushed the eject button, the tray pops out, I put in the disc, press the button to send the tray back in, but the tray gets stuck and the tray lid/door won't close. Eventually I found that if I hold the lid/door at a certain angle, the tray can motor on in, but even then, the lid/door won't shut. It literally just sits there wide open with the disc spinning and movie playing.
I'm not sure how "certified" that unit actually was. 2 stars because I later purchased the same model non-refurb and it works great.

Great product so far. It does play dvd & blu ray disk. For the price a great refurbished product.

I've had this Blu-Ray player for almost a month and I've been using it just about everyday. My tray doesn't stick at all and mine came with an installation and operating instruction sheet. I bought this from DealFisher, if that helps. Installation is pretty straightforward- plug the expected cords in the expected outlets and you're ready to go. The one downside is the remote. It's cheaply made, doesn't include batteries (although it's just one AAA), and there isn't a section in the instructions about it.
