My Headphones -OR - No Colors, No Cool "B" on them - NOT $300USD +, either...
I have owned and own many Many MANY sets, style and types of "personal listening" devices and, honestly; these Sennheiser units are the best possible combination of fidelity, depth of sound, response and ability to handle [frankly] ear-damaging volumes all damn day, all damn night & remain comfortable all the while.
Having done no small amount of editing and sound mixing - these are what I would choose over the [Sennheiser, again] "full ear cover units that I keep in their own hard case & carry onto airplanes & such if possible.
The [painfully expensive] Sony noise canceling models ARE quite light and technically advanced BUT the clunky battery module rules them out for anything other than "lay down & melt" listening.

I totally didn't expect anything from this thing. It popped my eyes out.
Amazing sound!
Very detailed sound, great separation, bright, and controlled bass without overwhelming mids or the highs (great sub-bass!)
Soundstage are great too, due to the open-type --> Warning! Sound leakage and no isolation
I'm a noob on audio, but this headphone is the only thing, among my other headphones and IEMs, that doesn't need any EQ adjustment. Great for casual listening and needing to be aware of the environment.
I'm suspecting that the foam maybe...
