Bose SoundSport In-Ear Headphones for iOS Models, Green

These are great for working out at the gym. I love them!
I have had the Bose IE2 headphones (current comparable model is the non-microphone Bose SoundTrue In-Ear Headphones, Black) for a couple years and absolutely love them. I have been using them for listening to music at work, while walking outside, and while working out at the gym. My old Bose IE2s got me through training for and walking four half marathons over the past three years. But these SoundSport headphones are my new favorite headphones for working out, especially at the gym.

I'm going to start with the features that are different about these from the SoundTrue in-ear headphones and then go back to why this whole family of Bose headphones is my favorite.

Because you can get the SoundTrue headphones with a microphone/remote that works with the Apple iOS, the biggest different between these headphones and those is the 21 inch extension cord. And if you run or walk on the treadmill,...

Bose fans rejoice -- you will love these. If you are not a Bose fan -- you'll still be quite happy!
I have never really bought into the Bose Marketing Hype... there was a time back in the 90s when the Bose Wave Radio was THE hot thing that I did kinda covet having one. But then when the 2000s hit and I could afford such luxuries, my ex turned me onto other brands such as Grado, Denon, and Shure. Bose also went the direction of active noise canceling which is basically introducing another sound to block out unwanted sound. If you are a "purist" (or as I refer to myself, a SNOB), it seems like this takes you one step further away from enjoying music as it was recorded. So up until now, the only thing Bose I have owned is the built in speaker that comes in my Nissan.

But everyone swears by them so I have remained curious but always put off by the price tag.

So I received these in-ear headphones -- I like the fact that they are NOT ACTIVE noise canceling.

FIT: I wasn't sure I would like this kind of ear "clip" that fits inside your ear flap. I had...

Very High Quality Sound
Bose never disappoints when it comes to audio quality. These provide a high quality sound with nice full base and clear high frequencies. As far as sound quality, these are right up there at the top of the list for in-ear/ear bud headphones.Solely on audio quality, these would be 5 stars.

Some other pros:
* They stay in place very well
* You get three different sizes of the silicone ends to so you can get the right fit for your ear.
* In line controls work flawlessly with iPhone
* Includes 2 feet of extension line so you can choose to go shorter or longer depending on the need.

Some minor things that kept me from giving a full 5 stars:
* It takes a little more effort to get these in the ear compared to regular ear buds. But I suppose that's the trade off for them staying in place so well.
* Because the in-line controls also have the microphone, you can't look at the buttons. It only takes a little bit of time to get used to it but...
