JBL J56 BT Bluetooth Wireless On-Ear Stereo Headphone, White

JBL + Wireless = Amazing
Wow! This is my first set of wireless on ear headphones and I am glad I purchased the JBL J56BT. The sound, design and durability are on a pristine level. I have purchased hundreds of items through Amazon in the past few years but this is my very first review. I actually felt obligated to share my thoughts on JBL’s Wireless Bluetooth 3.0 headphones.

Sound: The bass hits deep and clean (but doesn’t sound as hard hitting as the Beats/Monster). Mids and highs are on par with anything I’ve heard and loudness is right under the “Ear-Bleeding Levels”. The earcups definitely provide a good noise dampening approach to isolation of your surroundings.

Design: It is elegant as an entire unit. Black frame (plastic) with a brushed nickel band adjustment is a nice combination and feels strong. The ear cups can each swivel 180 degrees which is convenient on many occasions and easier for storage/carry. The exterior blue mirror covers on the...

Disappointing in everything
[EDIT: Happy New Year!!!]

I respect other people's opinions, but I have to say that by reading other reviews talking of pristine sound and build I really had to laugh.

I've compared many BT Headphones for weeks (if you want a list, write me a comment).
I am not going to speak of my personal tastes, which are not important in a review. I will only talk of objective sound quality.
Something that after comparing so many headphones, you can judge a bit better.

I actually have tested all JBL BT Headphones.
These do not have much Sound Quality. The detail is mediocre and the soundstage poor.
The bass is unfortunately muddy, the mids are a bit dull and recessed. The highs are decent.

Their look is only second in awfulness to the Sennheiser M400 and M500. The three of them protrude so much from the sides of your head, to make you look like Stewie of Family Guy.

Their fit is also really bad. They feel rigid and do not...

Bluetooth died, Cable broke, Headphone broke. Questionable customer service.
Summary after less than a year of use: They are completely broken (in several ways), and I would rate this the worst consumer product I have ever purchased in my life. Feel free to read on to see what my experience has been like from the beginning.

After a lot of deliberation, I decided to go with these JBLs not because they were well-received--in fact, it was very difficult to find any reviews of these products--but because I have some several professional JBL speakers in our studios and I've been quite happy with the sound. These are not the best headphones I've used, but I was fairly happy with them until the bluetooth stopped working. I had only had them for about two weeks, and turning them off for a bit, I later tried to power it back on but it would no longer turn on. The headphones would work through the cable, but it wouldn't power, nor would it charge. So, the bluetooth feature essentially died--which was what I bought it for.

I won't make any...
