Sennheiser IS410 Wireless Ultra-lightweight Assistive Listening Stereo Headphone System

Great sound, comfortable form factor
When I worked in radio in the 80's, Sennheiser offered a low-cost wired headset in this stethoscope configuration. They were comfortable, light, and easy to quickly put on or take off. Especially good for those wearing glasses, too. I like a closed ear headphone for listening to music, but this configuration is great for listening to TV.

These are infrared wireless, and as long as your are OK with the limits of that form of wireless, they work great. It's line of sight, and if you turn your head a fair amount you can get some static, or even a loss of signal if you turn much more than 45 degrees. But if you position the transmitter properly (in front of you, not off to one side), it's really not an issue. I can even go into the kitchen and maintain a signal as long as I'm pointed towards the transmitter.

Sound quality is very good, with excellent stereo separation that makes me glad I decided not to buy the mono set that was about $70 cheaper. The unit comes...

There is No Better TV Hearing System.
As a past user of TV ears, I must admit that this Sennheiser unit is far superior. There is a speech clarification circuit engaged by pressing a button on the transmitter unit. The unit sits conveniently behind and beneath the screen which allows the transmission of the signal to work perfectly. Like TV ears, the signal will be blocked temporarily if someone walks between you and the transmitter base. Not a frequent problem for me.
A really great feature of the Sennheiase unit is that the headset only turns on when expanded to place over your head. It sits comfortably on your ears and hangs under your chin. Light weight so it can be worn comfortably for hours. When removed, it immediately turns off allowing for many hours of listening without recharging. Recharging is simple. Simply place the headset on the transmitter cradle. Make sure the red light on the right side comes on to show the headset is properly placed on the cradle and is charging. Simply great unit. I...

well crafted and it has made a loud house peaceful again!!!
Whats that you said... Oh my goodness I can hear myself think again!!! If you have a loved one that has lost some of their hearing, id say minimal to moderate loss of hearing; for example talking to someone with a normal tone and they can somewhat hear you but sometimes think you said something else, then this device is perfect for them to help watch TV and keep the main volume to a normal level for everyone else! Its well designed and it does need a clear line of sight for it to work. The sound is VERY clear and has adjustable settings for the desired ear that maybe having loss of hearing, and there is also a volume control that you can crank up if needed. Connection to your TV is so easy a 7 year old could do it! Turing off the device is as easy as taking it off and placing it on the charging dock. Battery life is described as 8 hours, but I have not tested that yet on a full charge as i just got the device, so its charging as im typing this. We shall see...
It is...
