Very Good. Wish they folded.

These are made for mobile use. The cord is a good length for a phone or tablet. The mic in the cord works well. I suggest using the clip on the mic to position the mic on the collar for best sound. Down side is that they don't fold up. Which would be great for mobile use. (docked 1star). Sound quality, very good. Side by side comparison is very important for sound evaluation. I have a pair of HD380s. Compared to them the quality is about 10% less. Balance is more towards the low end but the lows don't extend as low as the 380s. 380s have broader and flatter frequency range. Volume levels are similar and neither distorts from my phone, Tablet or laptop. Cord is thin but normal for mobile applications. All and all a good value. Happy with them. Balanced & Accurate Sound With Excellent Comfort
The 429s headphone is the older 429 model updated with a shorter and lighter cord and a microphone for making phone calls with your cell phone. If you don't mind wearing massive headphones, the 429s is the best combination of comfort and well balanced sound in its price range.

The 429s headphones combine natural, well balanced sound with excellent comfort. The microphone works well with my Android phone. Callers sound clear, but a bit robotic with my phone.

With my phone it is possible to obtain moderately loud volume levels, but even at 100% maximum setting the level is still comfortable, not the deafening level most teens prefer. My Nook color tablet can also can push the 429s headphones to a comfortable and moderately loud level, but not to a painful level.

It is bulky, which is typical of around the ear headphones, but lightweight and well padded to allow hours of comfortable listening. The bulky design is fine for home listening but...

why not go for refurbished under 20 dollars

on 02/18/2014 I got three of these headphones and refurbished under 20 dollars. they work great and were delivered on time. I love the sound and the cord is adjustable by length for different applications. for now I love them but I will rate it again if there's any issues.
