Elite Screens Spectrum2 Series, Electric Drop Down Projection Screen, 91-inch Diagonal 16:9, Model: SPM91H-E12

Fast Installation - Thick Screen - Low Price - We Chose To Hardwire It With Wall Switch Instead
Installation was easy and fast with just two brackets. Our ceiling is slanted and the design of this allows for it to freely hang from whatever angle you placed it on.

This is the lowest price screen I could find at 100 inches diagonal. I was thrilled that it is powered by electricity to move the screen up and down. There is a hanging white cord that hands just to the left of the screen. There is a toggle switch on it to move it up and down. We elected to hire an electrician who ran electricity in the attic down to the unit and then ran wire to the wall where he installed a wall switch to activate it. This was important for us because the screen hangs in front of built-in bookcases and a smaller TV behind, which we are keeping there for use during exercising and as one son prefers the smaller sized TV for video gaming.

We are happy with the thick fabric screen which does not blow, drift, or wiggle during use. We needed a minimum 12 inch drop which this screen...

High hopes, but I am disappointed
Pros: It's an electric screen for a very reasonable price. As a manual-only owner all my life, I felt like this screen came with a top hat and monocle. Their customer service was very good and friendly, and although I wound up returning this item, Elite offered satisfactory service. Also this screen took fewer days to off-gas; it really didn't smell that bad out of the box. Some are awful smelling (looking at you, Da-lite).

Cons: 3 big ones.

1. The screen had ripples at the bottom, near the black bar. All of the other ripples the screen shipped with (an inevitability) eventually "hung out" but these never went away.

2. The screen surface was not satisfactory. There was an S-shaped pattern in the screen surface--you know when you'd degauss an old CRT monitor? The waves are reminiscent of those. On any bright part of the picture (especially moving faces), it was very noticeable.

3. I felt that the screen ratio was 17:9! Perfectly zooming the...

Nice screen for the Money!
Nice screen for the money! It hangs very nice with no noticeable waves. The only down side for some people is the lack of remote control. This screen is controlled with a rocker switch that you have to turn on and off. No big deal for me but for some it may matter.
