Bose SoundTrue Headphones On-Ear Style, White

Lightweight and great quality. Only drawback is sound leakage.
(4.5 out of 5) I rounded up.

Let's first look at the pros of these earphones:

Price
I looked at a lot of headphones (non-ear covering) ranging from about $100 to $350. After weighing quality of sound vs price, these seemed to be the best for the price. Were there better ones in that price range? Yes, but they were much more than these.

Sound Quality
A lot of headphones seem to offer "enhanced" sound quality. I'm not sure exactly what they do, but the earphones seem to alter the sound you are receiving to make it better. I actually bought and returned a couple pairs of other headphones before these that absolutely floored the Bose in terms of that surround sound feel for some movies. But why did I return them? Simple, while they excelled at enhancing some soundtracks from movies/games with "epic" classical music, they sounded like dollar store headphones with other music and flat out couldn't process music from other programs I...

The small headphones pack a punch
At first I wasn't sure I would like these on-the-ear headphones, as I'm more of an over-the-ear girl. I've been more than pleasantly surprised. I love these headphones!

1. These aren't noise canceling headphones, but they reduce noise incredibly.
2. They are about as light as my pinky finger.
3. The sound quality is incredible.
4. I can fit them in my purse, even in the case.

The price may seem a little on the steep side and it may be, but I love headphones. I have a pair of noise canceling Bose headphones and I love them. I want to stress how light these are. I wear glasses and I always have to take my other Bose's off when I'm watching something because they dig the ear pieces in. Not so with these. I can barely feel them on.

Love them.

Great when on the move
(Like many other of the early reviewers, I received a free set of these headphones in order to evaluate and review them.)

This is a Tale of Two Reviews. My initial review probably would have been about three stars, since they don't have the booming sound quality I associate with Bose. Then I gave them to my college-age son, who basically said: "Dad, you don't get it. The question isn't whether they produce the same sound quality as your big honker around-the-ear headphones. The point is that they're really small and light, and fold up into a case that's way smaller than most headphones, so you don't have to settle for crummy sound when you don't want to carry big headphones."

Enlightened by his perspective, I took a fresh look at the headphones, and I have to say that he's right. The sound quality isn't as rich as my larger and more expensive headphones that I use at home, especially in terms of heavy bass. But the sound quality is very good, and...
