Could of been 5 Stars but Some things is holding it back!!
The Reason I'm giving this product 3 Stars because of Xbmc which is almost worth the price of admission itself, 'even though I felt at times I overpaided for this product and had thoughts of sending it back but Xbmc Keep me watching and wanting to keep it.. That's the good reasons now the bad.. Google's Play Store isn't installed and don't try to manually install it yourself cause Google's Play Store wont let you enter or any other google apps!! Mbox want let me update period!! Tried all kind of methods of updating but to no prevail keep getting failures and try again messages.. Sometimes it overheats when you're playing 3D games and that's a shame cause this product is excellent when it comes to playing video games!! Makes me wonder why they didn't put a little fan in the mbox!! Had SOME freezing with the mbox it's not a MAJOR problem to me understanding the overheating thing is causing the problem.. When I read It description it said it had Support for Hard drives, flash drives, and...

Great for the TV, was able to root it and install XBMC too
I've had pruducts such as the chromecast and other TV sticks in the past, but they've all been rather limited and have never really been that useful overall. I bought this TV player as the specs seemed great and that it runs a newer version of Android than most similar pruducts, which is a big plus as I was planning to use heavy media apps and games on it. I was expecting certain heavy apps to run badly on it, but I was wrong!
Not a single of the apps or games I've used so far have lagged or been running slow, and UI is smooth as butter.
I was also able to root this TV box so that I could skip ads in apps etc, and also add additional functionality which makes it even better. Also I was able to sideload XBMC onto it to make it even more optimal for the TV.

There's one disadvantage though and that is that a remote is required to controll this TV box, but I already knew that before ordering but you should know about it. Any android capable remote works with it...

Quite a capable streaming Android player.
I'm kind of a junkie when it comes to streaming media boxes... considering I've had in my possession a Roku, Acer Revo HTPC, Raspberry Pi, chromecast, Apple TV, and a self-built HTPC in an mATX case. The M8 looks so awesome in my media center because of the all black theme /high quality gloss makes it belong. Let's talk about the innards which make it shine! Android 4.4 its not quite kit kat or lollipop, but it delivers (lag free.. Suck it iOS!) beautifully! The ARM soc handles all types media and can even multi-task without much hindrance. I'm usually streaming 1080p content from my NAS and the wifi is strong enough - considering my router is in the basement on the other side of the house. The youtube app does 4k well and I do not notice any frame drops. All-in-all, I've been very pleased and looking forward to tinker with it more.
