Father of two, back to enjoying my life watching TV.
I'm a married man with two kids with tons of movies that me and my wife weren't able to watch before I got this. I love to watch tv with the volume up high. I've been looking for headphones for a while and after reading reviews and searching for a while, I decided to spend some money and get a quality product and this is it. First I purchased a Sennheiser 160 system, not from Amazon. You can hook up to four units in one system. Then I purchased an additional unit from Amazon and paired it with the system following the instructions. Both headsets work simultaneously producing beautiful crisp noise free sound with no interference whatsoever(best quality). I have a long bedroom with a 46" led tv and I'm at least 25 feet from the tv one end of the room to the other. Watching tv late at night with the wife when the kids go to sleep is an amazing experience now. We both set our own standards of audio level. The bass is not exceptional but it's just right. We're able to hear noises in movies...
Loud enough for my wife! The kids can now sleep.
My wife is hard of hearing and has the TV volume up to nearly 80dB. With these, I can sit in bed next to her and listen to the show even without my own set, but I wear my own set so I can wander to the kitchen while the show is on and not miss the dialog. I got two headsets and one base unit. It's nice that the base unit is both AC and battery powered. I can take the base unit and plug it into my laptop when we want to watch something in bed that's streamed online. We'll plan on taking the set when we go on RV trips as well. At the levels that my wife listens to things, the batteries need to be charged a couple times a week, but it's easy to swap out the AAA Nimh batteries, so I have a Nimh charger in the bedroom with two extra sets of batteries so we never miss a show. The only downside is they are hot around the ears, and I can't wander all the way to the garage without losing the signal which seems to go about 50' in our standard stud and drywall construction home. You're not...
Worth every nickle..
Very easy to pair this supplemental headset and they sound absolutely great. To pair you simply put the transmitter and headset in "standby" mode by pressing the power button for about 1 second. You then simply hold the power button in on both simultaneously for about 7 seconds until the light flashes two times quickly. After that it will establish the pairing in less than a minute. The 160 sound is clear as it gets and very musically balanced. The bass isn't very heavy but I'm sure you can adjust that on your input source to your liking.
